The talented fourth-generation group is known for their close connection with ATINYs (ATEEZ’s fans) and they often find ways to connect with fans on a personal level.

Many ATINYs feel how mutual the respect and love are between themselves and ATEEZ, and in the group’s recent interview, they revealed just how much fans inspire them.

In their interview with Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, the members answered fan-submitted questions, and one was specifically submitted for leader Hongjoong.

The fan asked what inspires him when composing and writing song lyrics, and he revealed that his inspiration has changed in recent years.

Hongjoong shared that a few years ago, he was inspired by dramas and movies, but recently, he’s found a new source of inspiration in his fellow members and from fan letters he’s received from ATINYs.

The ATEEZ leader shared that he no longer wants to be inspired by existing art but by more organic sources.

He added that he strives to be “more serious” about his work while again reiterating that his fellow members and the group’s communication continues to fuel his creativity.

Hongjoong’s sweet answer proves that ATEEZ truly lives their “8 makes 1 team” catchphrase while also showing ATEEZ’s genuine love for ATINYs.
