BIBI and Lee Young Ji are both talented soloists who are known for their extroverted personalities and for speaking their minds, leading to an entertaining combination when they were together.

While chatting about their lives during their My Alcohol Diary episode, Lee Young Ji asked BIBI about her experience writing lyrics for K-Pop idols.

BIBI wrote the lyrics for TWICE‘s “More & More” with J.Y. Park, and she also co-wrote the lyrics for Choi Yena‘s “SMILEY,” a song she also featured on.

Lee Young Ji wondered if writing idol lyrics was worth it, and BIBI shared she couldn’t have been more grateful for the opportunity that keeps on giving.

To write songs for idols, BIBI has her own techniques to get into the correct mindset. Lee Young Ji admitted that it’s difficult for her to become absorbed in the varying concepts of idol groups, which is why she doesn’t often write lyrics for idols herself.

BIBI shared her tips on embodying the concept by hilariously revealing she removes anything that would show her reflection so she can mentally picture herself as the idol she’s writing for.

Her methods have paid off, as she shared that her participation in the making of TWICE’s “More & More” was financially fruitful for her.
