BTOB’s Yook Sungjae Reveals He Will Be Enlisting Soon In 2020

He has withdrawn from “Master in the House” to prepare.

In the latest episode of Master in the House, actor Lee Sang Yoon and BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae shared their final goodbyes — as they have decided to withdraw from the program.

While sharing his upcoming plans after he leaves the show, Yook Sungjae revealed that he will be enlisting in 2020 to serve his military duty for sure. He commented, “Well, this year I have to serve my military duty. So I’ll be spending some time for myself before I have to go away for that.”

The night before his “graduation” from the show, Yook Sungjae lightheartedly joked that he will “probably be like the role model soldier Lee Seung Gi” when he completes his military service. Though he tried to keep the mood playful…

Lee Seung Gi: I’m not going to go see you at the base, okay?
Yook Sungjae: Okay. I’ll call you when I’m on vacation… Then, I guess, once I get out, I’ll turn into a model soldier like you, right?
Lee Seung Gi: Oh, you think you won’t talk about the military once you get out? Watch and see.

… He couldn’t hide his tears the next day, when he really had to say farewell.

I’m going to miss this on Mondays and Tuesdays, when we usually have the shoot…

— Yook Sungjae

BTOB fans have grown saddened by the fact they won’t get to see a lot of Yook Sungjae on TV in 2020.

Nonetheless, Melodys continue to support Yook Sungjae’s decision and wish him the best!
