If BTS Starred In A 90s Anime This Is What They Would Look Like

Fan artists have created the BTS animes that should have been.

Fans of BTS and retro anime now have the ultimate collab, thanks to two talented fan artists!

hanavbara is an Instagram/Twitter art duo who create anime-style K-Pop illustrations and merchandise. They have mastered the 90s’ animation aesthetic seen in shows like Sailor Moon and applied it to K-Pop stars, like BLACKPINK and BTS!

hanavbara has made several series of pseudo animes based on BTS’s music videos. Their earliest one is based on the “Run” MV.

Each illustration is made to look like a subtitled screenshot from an anime television show. If J-Hope‘s “Daydream” MV was a 90s anime, it would look something like this.

hanavbara also created a series for BTS’s “FAKE LOVE” MV. They nailed the details in Jimin‘s leopard print shirt and RM‘s jacket…

…as well as J-Hope’s and Suga’s styles here. In this picture, the booth from the “FAKE LOVE” teasers can also be seen in the background.

“FAKE LOVE” Jin is bishi-level handsome…

…and the maknaes, V and Jungkook, are a whole mood!

hanavbara gave ARMYs the gift of “Blood, Sweat, & Tears” Suga…

…”Ephipany” Jin…

…”Singularity” V…

…”Serendipity” Jimin (plus kitty!)…

…and “Euphoria” Jungkook!

Their most recent series is based on BTS’s “Boy With Luv” MV. It includes all the members, plus Halsey!
