How BTS Is Responding To The Rise In Hate Toward Their Members
Recently, several BTS members have been heavily criticized for their individual activities (such as V‘s collaboration with Coca-Cola and RM, J-Hope, and V’s behavior at the Love Your W event) and for their personal lives (such as Jungkook‘s multiple dating rumors).
Although the group has remained quiet, some members have begun to hint at the controversies in their own ways, according to fans. Jimin, who came under fire for his dating scandal with actress Song Da Eun, indirectly addressed this during a Weverse live stream on October 2.
He said, “I’m living with the realization that being a good adult and living a good life aren’t easy. I’m just pretending to be an adult.” This statement was not well-received by netizens across various online communities. Some accused Jimin of being “avoidant” for not outright addressing his dating controversy.

Most recently, Jungkook has been accused of being a womanizer who dated multiple women at once. After holding a series of live streams, speculation about his personal life increased dramatically.
As a result, some fans believe that Jungkook has reacted to the vitriol towards him by turning his TikTok comments off and making his following list private.
He also appears to have made himself un-taggable.
At the end of October, RM was accused of “hypocrisy” after he gave a speech at the APEC CEO Summit 2025. He was also swept up in dating rumors with Red Velvet‘s Seulgi at the beginning of November.
On November 13, RM did a surprise live for ARMYs, during which he seemed to allude to BTS’s controversies. “Let’s just stay focused on between you and us,” he said. “There are too many things going around out there, but I just want you not to pay attention.”
