BTS’s RM Accidentally Sabotaged Jin’s Mission In “Run BTS!”
BTS continued where they left off in episodes 120 and 121, in which the members were transported to the 1970s-1980s era: “Reply BTS Village.” In those episodes, the members attempted to deduce who among them broke the village’s beloved ARMY headstone during a blackout.
In episode 145, BTS arrived in the Joseon Dynasty by a time leap. The stone traveled with them in two pieces, one with them and one fallen somewhere in the village. As a result, their mission is to find it to return to 2021. Otherwise, time and space will be distorted again, resulting in sending BTS to yet another era.
If that wasn’t enough drama, during the search, all of the members are considered suspects just as before in the mystery of the stolen headstone. Henceforth, the royal army is actively searching for the thief, so the members must be careful while searching for clues and attempting to complete their own assigned individual missions.
RM and Jin were assigned the roles of district magistrate and physiognomist, respectively. Therefore, they were assigned unique missions based on these roles. In Jin’s case, while also searching for clues as to the location of 1/2 of the headstone, he was meant to look for puzzle pieces. After collecting those puzzle pieces, he would piece them together to form one of the member’s faces. He would then exchange a correctly completed puzzle for an additional clue.
At first, Jin didn’t seem too concerned. It basically seemed hopeless to find all of those pieces in such a large village!
But, J-Hope advised his fellow members to stay focused on completing their individual mission. So, they all soon set out to complete their tasks.
Meanwhile, RM was searching for clues. However, he kept picking up random items that turned out to be some of the other members’ mission items, such as Jimin‘s flowers and Jin’s puzzle pieces.
Everywhere he went, he kept finding what seemed to be cropped photos of body parts. But, not just anybody’s parts but his own!
This caused him a lot of confusion. It also made Jimin suspicious that perhaps RM was the guilty party behind this whole thing!
Soon, it seemed everyone was picking up these “clues,” including Jungkook. He believed that if they truly piece together a face, then maybe they will resolve this whole issue and identify the true suspect.
Jimin soon came along again and was wondering why Jungkook needed to collect these odd photos. Jungkook attempted to explain that he saw Jin’s mission assignment and thought it might help him find some answers. Jimin, of course, then became suspicious of Jungkook now, wondering why he knew so much.
Staff soon confirmed that all of these photos that Jungkook and RM were collecting were indeed part of Jin’s mission. After that, Jimin immediately went to inform RM, who was in shock as he realized he had wasted his time and had no idea what the actual clues were that he was supposed to have been looking for.
These two were attempting to converse to resolve the issue and figure out a new plan when the royal army showed up! It sometimes seems that no good deed goes unpunished since Jimin failed to make it out unscathed.
Unfortunately, they all realized their mistake too late. Because at this time, Jin was going through the few puzzle pieces he had found and was attempting to piece them together. Finally, he felt he could argue for a completed puzzle, despite knowing that these were different members’ facial features.
He went to the staff to see if they would give him a pass and exchange for a clue. But of course, they told him it was wrong. If only someone hadn’t picked up all of his puzzle pieces…
