Dal Shabet‘s Subin recently appeared on the YouTube channel, Update Olympics where she talked about the time she got into a car accident, causing her to take a year off from her activities.
In particular, Subin spoke up about the reason why her career was put to a halt during a time when she was very active on variety shows.
She confessed that she was in a car accident.
Back in 2013 and 2014, I was on 4 or 5 different variety shows. But I got into a car accident during that time, so I had to take time off as a result.
Subin described the accident in more detail.
The car I was in completely flipped over. It happened on our way from Busan back up to Seoul. When I came to my senses, I couldn’t feel my anything from the waist down, and my upper body was shaking like crazy. I suffered from epileptic symptoms after that as well.
Subin added that her manager calling her name made her think that she had died.
I heard, ‘Subin, are you okay?’ So I thought I was dead.
But it turned out to be her manager, who was hanging by her seatbelt from above.
But I realized that in the flipped car, my manager was still hanging by her seatbelt above. She was asking if I was okay. We both cried together.
As a result, Subin had to take a year off from her activities, and she expressed that her hiatus was the reason why Dal Shabet didn’t take off the way it could have.
I felt really bad for my members at the time. Because I felt like we could really take off, but we all had to take a break because of me.
Subin is the youngest member of Dal Shabet, and she’s currently the CEO of her own company, Subin Company.
Subin recently released her solo album, “Disappear” as well.
