Why ENHYPEN’s Heeseung Refuses To Use His Position As The Oldest To Influence The Members

He rejected the idea of using the title at all.

ENHYPEN is one of the rare groups that didn’t use age as a factor in choosing their leader Jungwon. But because age hierarchy plays a major part in Korean society, Heeseung addressed why he still doesn’t use being the oldest as a way to influence his members.

Heeseung never felt the need to bring up being the oldest in any situation. He admitted, “I don’t use my position as the oldest for anything, actually. And there’s honestly no need to.

Because Heeseung is in his very early twenties, he acknowledged that he’s still growing and learning along with the rest of the members.

I’m still young; I just happen to be the oldest, and not that different from the others. Naturally, I try to give a good amount of support, but I learn a lot from the others, too.

Most importantly, Heeseung felt that holding his position of being the oldest over their heads would just upset the peaceful balance they already have. He explained, “If I try to lord my age over them, it will only make them uncomfortable.

Living up to his easygoing personality, Heeseung is perfectly fine going along with his members and supporting leader Jungwon as they all grow.
