(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi Is A Successful Fan After Flirting With Red Velvet’s Seulgi On Instagram
(G)I-DLE were the most recent guests on TheKstarNextDoor with Jonathan Thona, where member Miyeon joined Jonathan as a special guest MC after their hilariously chaotic episode together in May.

In 2020, (G)I-DLE were guests on the Cultwoo Show, where Yuqi opened up about her K-Pop idol friendships. She shared that she was close friends with Choi Yena, who is a current soloist, but was a member of IZ*ONE at the time, and shared that the next idol she wanted to befriend was Red Velvet‘s Seulgi.
In an effort to begin their friendship, Yuqi adorably left a video message for Seulgi while filming the Cultwoo Show, explaining why they would be a good friendship match.

In September 2020, Red Velvet’s Seulgi filmed an interview with Allure Korea where Seulgi was asked if she was aware that she’s popular among other female K-Pop artists and female fans in general. Seulgi stated that she was and read the names of K-Pop idols who admired her, which included (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi and Lee Chaeyeon.
Seulgi shared that she hoped to become close with the two idols and revealed, “I felt really good after I heard about it. It feels good to be recognized by other women.”
It seems that although the two expressed their interest in becoming friends with one another, they haven’t had time to meet yet.
Yuqi excitedly announced on TheKstarNextDoor that she and Seulgi were finally about to hang out together after the (G)I-DLE member posted about Seulgi’s recent solo debut album on her Instagram story.
When Seugli saw the Instagram story, she gave Yuqi her number and the two made plans to meet for hot pot soon. After years, Yuqi is finally a successful fan!
