INFINITE’s L (Kim Myung Soo) Opens Up About Enlistment, His Age, And His Solo Career

With his enlistment and solo growing closer, L gives us some insight.

INFINITE‘s L (also known as Kim Myung Soo) recently spoke to The Star Magazine about his upcoming military enlistment, solo career, and more.

He is currently preparing to enlist on February 22 but confessed, “I don’t know if this will be my last photoshoot before my enlistment.” He remarked that there was no specific reason for him joining the Marine Corps branch. He just wants to be able to do a good job.

Myung Soo also discussed his most recent K-Drama Royal Secret Agent, in which he is playing the main character, Sung Yi Kyum. More specifically, he stated just why he chose to act in it.

I really liked its format and the way it was split up into different adventures. I was really drawn to Sung Yi Kyum, who lived a carefree life then gradually started to grow mature after being assigned the job of a royal secret agent.

A few weeks ago, he announced that he would be releasing his first official solo single, “Memory” in February before enlistment.

I’ve always wanted to sing, and I wanted to give my fans a good song to listen to. This song has to do with memory, and it has great sentimental lyrics. It makes you feel calmer but also a little soft and emotional.

When he was asked to sum up his twenties in one sentence, he replied, “I worked hard.” He continued on to discuss the fact that he has recently turned 30 years old.

Things haven’t really changed now that I’m 30. I’ve always been pretty much the same. Though, as I get older, I’m probably a bit more mature than the year before. If I was lacking in any way I worked hard to improve so that people could trust and look up to me.

To complete the interview, he was asked what type of person he hopes to be in the future. “There isn’t really a specific type of person I want to become. I’d just like to improve my skills and become someone who has more to offer.
