IU Reveals The Moment When Her Mother Approved Of Her Dreams To Become A Singer
Having success in the K-Pop industry isn’t easy. Not only that, but idols have to deal with a lot of stress. Due to this, parents aren’t always in favor of their children going into the idol industry. IU is an idol who experienced this.
In a recent interview with W Korea, IU shared that her mother initially was against her dreams of becoming a singer.
However, everything changed when IU sang the song “Gates of Dawn” by Wax to her. After hearing IU sing this song, IU’s mother fully supported her dreams of becoming a singer.
IU also shared that her mother usually hated going to karaoke with her, but if she told her mother that she was going to be singing Wax’s “Gates of Dawn, then her mother would come along.
Due to all of this, IU views this as a special song.
