IZ*ONE’s Chaeyeon and Sakura Finally Saw Each Other’s Faces Recently And It Was Absolutely Heartbreaking
IZ*ONE had previously disbanded in April 2021, after a whole rollercoaster of emotions since their debut through Produce 48. The girls built up a strong friendship throughout the years together. When the Japanese members, Sakura, Hitomi, and Nako left for their homeland, needless to say, fans and members were heartbroken.
After a long time, it seems that Chaeyeon and Sakura finally reunited! Well, through video chat at least. The moment was an emotional one for everyone, including the WIZ*ONEs that were tuning in. When Chaeyeon saw Sakura’s face pop up onscreen, her reaction was priceless.
Sakura revealed that she was currently in a hotel room in Tokyo. She immediately teased Chaeyeon for tearing up.
Sakura was flustered as Chaeyeon began crying after seeing her face. Chaeyeon shared that it was because it had been so long since she had seen Sakura. They missed each other dearly.

Of course, Chaeyeon has always been an older sister-like figure to Sakura, mentoring her in dance especially, to become the best K-Pop idol possible. Throughout Produce 48, as well as their time in IZ*ONE, Sakura looked up to Chaeyeon while Chaeyeon adored Sakura. It’s great to see their friendship still going strong!
