What Did J.Y. Park Say To GOT7's Youngjae Before His JYP Contract Ended?

In early 2021, JYP Entertainment announced that all the GOT7 members would not be renewing their contracts with the company. GOT7’s Youngjae guested in VIXX Ravi‘s show Question Mark, where he revealed what J.Y. Park told him when his contract with JYP Entertainment was coming to an end.

During the show, Ravi asked Youngjae, “Now, as your contract with JYP Entertainment came to an end, I assume you guys had a lot of things to talk about. What did producer J.Y. Park have to say?”

Youngjae shared that when his contract was coming to an end, J.Y. Park was busy promoting his project with singer Rain. Although J.Y. Park was busy, he sent multiple messages to Youngjae and told him that he could call him anytime and that he would help him if he was struggling with anything. All of this touched Youngjae.

So, when we were dealing with all that, PD-nim (J.Y. Park) was actually kind of busy promoting his project with Rain. But even so, he made sure to keep communicating with me via text.

He messaged me separately multiple times, saying whatever I decide to do, he will support me. He said, ‘If there’s anything you don’t know or anything that makes you uncomfortable in any way, come talk to me, and we’ll figure it out together.’ So I was really touched.

Ravi then told Youngjae, “That must have been quite touching,” and Youngjae said that he was incredibly touched since he had never received these kinds of messages from J.Y. Park before.
