NCT’s Johnny Amazes NCTzens With Star Studded NYC Travels

Johnny is a true jetsetter!

On April 28, NCT‘s Johnny announced via Instagram Live that he was en route to the airport to fly to the United States. Upon hearing this news, NCTzens were happy to see which activities he had planned for his trip.

Upon arrival in New York City, Johnny has been living it up.

First, he went into photographer mode under the Brooklyn Bridge.

He then went to go see the popular musical Hamilton on Broadway, striking a posh pose outside of the venue.

He made sure to show NCTzens some low-key parts of his day as well, including these cute face stretches.

Next, he went to the fashion brand Chrome Hearts‘ NYC flagship store, taking a picture next to a dinosaur statue.

In a surprise twist, he later met up with two-time Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim.

However, in perhaps the most unexpected development, on May 2, it was announced in an exclusive report with Herald POP that Johnny would be attending the 2022 Met Gala held in NYC later that day.

Passing by Johnny in the streets of NYC, one NCTzen told him to enjoy the event. Johnny responded by smiling and nodding in acknowledgement.

On social media, NCTzens are excited to see how Johnny’s appearance at the Met Gala will gain attention in the U.S. and put a spotlight on NCT and the K-Pop industry as a whole.

Some hope that when Johnny inevitably goes viral on social media, Met Gala attendees and remote viewers will easily be able to find his profile on Instagram.

Other NCTzens are curious to see what Johnny will wear for his red-carpet outfit. The 2022 Met Gala theme is In America: An Anthology of Fashion, with a focus on gilded glamour.

The stories really reflect the evolution of American style, but they also explore the work of individual tailors, dress-makers, and designers. …We’ve been exploring untold stories and focusing on designers who have been almost written out of fashion history because they weren’t commercially successful or they had a short career span, but at the time had a big impact on American fashion.

—Andrew Bolton, Met Gala Curator and Coordinator

Nostalgic NCTzens are proud to see Johnny following his passion for fashion. He is known for his “Johnny’s Fashion Evaluator” segments on the “Johnny’s Communication Center” YouTube vlogs, where he rated his fellow NCT members’ outfits.

Even back in 2019, when Johnny posted about his fashion evaluation segment to NCT 127‘s Twitter during the group’s “NEO CITY – The Origin Tour”, Johnny joked about wanting to attend the Met Gala.

We are looking forward to Johnny’s appearance at the Met Gala, in addition to everything else he has planned for his exhilarating trip!
