Male Idol Goes Viral For His Unique “Lip Reduction Makeup”

The overlip has become a staple in K-Pop makeup in the past year. Many idols such as LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin purposefully apply lip products beyond their natural lip boundary to create the illusion of bigger lips, just like below.

One particular male idol has been doing the exact opposite though. NCT Wish Sakuya’s natural lips are plump and luscious.

Perhaps that is why his makeup artist has taken to reducing his lip size instead. His makeup artist purposefully uses foundation or concealer to cover his natural lip boundaries, applying lip color in a gradation. This creates the illusion of smaller lips.

You can see that foundation or concealer has been applied to the edges of his lips.

For the same reason, his lip color is often kept light compared to the other members. This tidbit soon went viral on X.

Fans were bewildered by the unique choice, praising his natural lips for how full they are.

Wow, give me those lips.

I wanted to look younger so I did an overlip such that my lips were his size, but I ended up looking way older like Addamama (character) instead.
