NMIXX’s Jiwoo Dishes On What Dorm Life With Her Members Is Really Like
Most idol groups live together in dorms, especially when they’re just starting out. NMIXX, JYP Entertainment‘s newest girl group, is no exception to this part of K-Pop culture!
In a recent episode of “PICK NMIXX,” Jiwoo and Kyujin met up to interview each other and chat about themselves.
When on the topic of roommates, Jiwoo opened up about one disadvantageous aspect about dorm life—having to adjust to it in the first place. She wasn’t accustomed to sharing a room with another person. Living with others made her realize how important respect is.
I’m not sure it’s negative, but anyways, before we lived in the same house, we lived in our individual homes. And now, two people share the same room. So we need to respect each other.

She also described what it’s like to live with the older members as one of the youngest in the group.
Although it’s easy to see why it would be difficult at times, Jiwoo insisted that they are all friendly around each other—so much so that she hardly notices their age differences. Because they’re good friends, she believes that dorm life has been comfortable.
Frankly, our team members don’t feel like they are way older than me. The older members are like friends. We are very comfortable with each other. It’s also comfortable to live in the same house. They are like friends, like friendly sisters.

Kyujin easily agreed with Jiwoo and added that there is no division in the group in terms of age. They all get along well!
I agree with you, too. There is no distinctive youngest or oldest among the members. NMIXX members are always friendly.
