FIFTY FIFTY earned attention and praise from netizens since they released their first EP, The Fifty, in November 2022.

The group followed their debut release with The Beginning: Cupid, a single album released in February 2023.

The title track from their first single album, “Cupid,” quickly trended on TikTok after a sped-up version of the song went viral.

With its viral success on TikTok, the song became a certified international hit, and FIFTY FIFTY broke multiple records with “Cupid.”

Netizens around the world sang and danced along to the upbeat and fun hit song, but the English lyrics almost had a slightly different message.

In the Unanswered Questions episode, slight changes to the original lyrics were revealed, giving the song a new vibe.

The English version of the song “Cupid (“Twin” Version)” was originally called “Cupid Is A Hoe,” and that wasn’t the only change.

The lyrics, “Now I’m crying in my room,” were originally “Now I’m crying in the club,” and “Cupid is so dumb” was “Cupid is a hoe.

Netizens were hilariously divided between relief that the lyrics were changed and others requesting that the group release the “explicit version” of the song.
