Super Junior’s Ryeowook Names The Fifth Generation K-Pop Idol Who Caught His Eye
Super Junior‘s Ryeowook is known for his incredible vocal talents and has been one of the main vocalists of the group, along with Kyuhyun and Yesung, for nearly two decades.
Recently, the Super Junior member reviewed performances by some of his talented SM Entertainment labelmates and opened up about how close they really are.
Ryeowook shared what he thought about the vocal talents of fourth and fifth-gen idols, aespa‘s Winter and NingNing, NCT‘s Doyoung, Taeil, and Haechan, and RIIZE‘s Sohee.
When asked if he was close with the members of SM Entertainment’s fourth and fifth-generation groups, Ryeowook admitted he wished they were closer.
Ryeowook shared that it was difficult to be close with the younger artists, as he felt they would be uncomfortable if he approached them as a senior artist.
Still, he did have his eye on one particular member of SM Entertainment’s 5th-generation group, RIIZE.
Ryeowook revealed that he “really likes” RIIZE’s Sohee as he praised his singing skills. He added that he looks forward to watching him continue to grow as an artist.
After watching Sohee’s recorded vocal performances later in the interview, Ryeowook again praised Sohee’s skills as a rookie artist and paid him the ultimate compliment by expressing his hope that the RIIZE member would one day cover one of his own songs.
