Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Huening Kai is of Korean-American descent. However, he didn’t stay long and his family moved to Korea early on in his childhood.

He put his bilingual skills to the test when he revealed his favorite slang words and phrases to viewers.

One of his favorite phrases is “Thank you for coming to my TED Talk,” a tongue-in-cheek closing statement to a rant or explanation.

He also likes the word “bruh,” a modern spin on the word “bro” that can be used in almost any context.

Additionally, he chose the word “sus,” a shortened and trendy version of “suspicious.”

With these three phrases, Huening Kai proves he’s a master of trendy, American slang!
