Upcoming boy group NPI covers “You Exist in My Song” prior to debut
New Planet Entertainment, home to A-PRINCE, has released pre-debut footage of their upcoming boy group NPI (New Planet Icons) as they covered Wanting Qu‘s “You Exist in My Song.”
Following in the footsteps of labelmate A-PRINCE, the group has covered a Chinese song. Featuring members Jonathan, Pyeongki, and Minhyuk, the video highlights the vocals of the upcoming boy group while showing off their language abilities.
The video shows the three walking around different settings such as bridges over highways and rivers. Their expressions in the music video are pensive and nostalgic, reflecting the mood and lyrics of the popular Chinese track. Climaxing through various high notes and harmonies, “You Exist in My Song” gives fans a glimpse into the vocal strengths they can expect to hear with NPI.
NPI has five members, the remaining two of whom are Liyond and Eunsu. The group is set to debut in early 2015 but has already been partaking in various stages such as “Gangwon Day” in Fujian, China.
In addition, member Liyond has also revealed a dance cover of Taeyang‘s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” for fans to enjoy. Filmed in black and white, the video reveals a very different side of NPI’s skills. Showing his background as an urban dancer, Liyond impresses fans with his sharp choreography and focused dance moves.
