On November 19th, the first episode of Lovelyz Diary was uploaded on Lovelyz‘s official YouTube channel, detailing their five years of preparation prior to their recent debut.
The episode, titled EP.01 – Woollim‘s New Trainees, featured the eight girls working hard on their vocals, music composition, and dancing, but also included some footage that highlighted their sweet and cheerful personalities. The members of Lovelyz were quite comfortable around the camera, which filmed them throughout the several years of training they received before their debut.
The girls revealed that there were ups and downs in forming the group, as trainees often came and trained together, but ended up in situations where they had to leave the company. But member Baby Soul elaborated that the experiences made the girls tighter as a group, and taught them how to deal with tough situations. The girls then spent some time practicing their vocals before the video ended with the group singing a cover of American singer Taylor Swift‘s hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”.
Lovelyz made their debut on November 17th with “Candy Jelly Love,” and despite the absence of member Jisoo, delighted fans with their performance on Mnet‘s M! Countdown.
