“CSAT Perfect Score” Top 0.002% Medical Student Arrested After Murdering His Girlfriend On Rooftop

A medical student who received a perfect score on the CSAT has been arrested on suspicions of murdering his girlfriend.

According to an exclusive report from KBS, a man in his 20s was arrested for killing his girlfriend on the rooftop of a building in Gangnam. The man is a medical student who was also one of the rare few students to receive a perfect score on the CSAT (also known as suneung). Since 2013, only 137 test-takers out of 5,040,459 total have received a perfect score.

On the rooftop of a 15-floor building in Gangnam, police cars and an ambulance were waiting outside after it was initially discovered a man in his 20s was attempting to take his own life. When contacted by police, the man initially stated he left his medicine on the rooftop.

However, when police arrived to the rooftop, they discovered the body of a woman in her 20s, stabbed to death. The man admitted to the police that he murdered her after she told him they should end their relationship. Currently, police are investigating the specific motives behind the murder.
