NewJeans’ Danielle Addresses Fans’ Concern Over Her Wellbeing

Bunnies are worried with the current situation.

The ongoing feud between HYBE and ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin has proven damaging to multiple groups under HYBE, but being the only group directly under Min’s supervision, NewJeans are definitely under unimaginable pressure.

As the conflict between the two parties drags on, Bunnies (NewJeans’ fandom) are growing increasingly concerned about the quintet’s well-being. In particular, during a recent livestream, many fans felt that Danielle was quieter than usual.

On May 7, Minji celebrated her birthday with Bunnies and her members through a live stream. A day after the stream, Danielle took to the fan communication platform Phoning and said she was happy to talk to fans live. She also addressed their worries, thanking them for their support. Though the singer admitted that her “heart is a little heavy these days,” she reassured Bunnies that the group is strong-willed to continue with their activities.

“I was very happy that I could see you yesterday!!

I heard that there were some Bunnies who were worried about me being more quiet than usual.

[Crying faces]

Thank you for worrying about me and supporting me.

Though my heart is a bit heavy these days, we’re all practicing and preparing diligently for Bunnies.

We have so much we want to show you all. So, please look forward to it!”

While Bunnies are happy to have Danielle’s reassurance, they are also saddened by the entire situation that has put the girls under unimaginable pressure.

Meanwhile, Danielle is preparing to host KBS2’s Korea On Stage event, slated to air on May 21 as a special MC. NewJeans also released a new single, “Bubble Gum,” on April 27 and has seen a warm reception despite the ongoing rift between their label ADOR and HYBE.
