BTS’s Suga Reveals Fans “Shouldn’t Have To Wait Too Long” For The Release Of New Hip Hop Songs

We can’t wait!

BTS recently sat down for an interview with BBC Radio 1. They touched on a variety of topics ranging from their old injuries to their collaboration with Ed Sheeran. On the latter subject, host Adele Roberts asked them if BTS will ever “go back” to making hip hop songs.

[Ed Sheeran] is also into hip hop. You mentioned…your earlier stuff. [They had] really lots of hip hop influences which sounded great. Will you ever go back to that sound?

Suga took the chance to reflect on the trends that are prevalent in the music industry at present. He explained that their recent releases such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission To Dance” have a distinct sound that is easy to like, and they released these songs wanting to spread their music to more people.

I think the current trend in the music industry is at a point where there are no specific and clear cut genre boundaries. For the singles that we’re releasing now, our biggest hope was for them to reach a lot of people.

At the same time, there are still fans who want BTS to release more hip hop heavy songs as they did in the past. Suga assured them that they are working on delivering this very request.

I’m sure we’ll have more hip hop tracks in future albums.

Songs like “Fire,” “Dope,” “Mic Drop” and many more may be coming soon! Suga teased ARMYs, saying that they “might be” released in the near future.

So if you’d like to hear more of them, you shouldn’t have to wait too long. They might be released one day.

No matter what kind of tracks BTS releases, fans will always eagerly await them!
