The Only Thing BLACKPINK’s Lisa Isn’t Good At, According To Herself

Arguably she’s still pretty talented at it.

There’s no question that BLACKPINK‘s Lisa is incredibly talented. She’s an incredible dancer…

An amazing rapper…

Has a beautiful voice…

And is certainly a talented model.

But in a recent Rolling Stone interview, Lisa opened up about the one ability she doesn’t feel quite as confident in.

You’re BLACKPINK’s main dancer and lead rapper, and you also sing. What are you bad at?

Her reasoning actually makes perfect sense.

It’s so hard to express myself through language. Even in Thai. Like, when you ask, ‘Do you have anything to say to your fans?’ In my head, there are so many things, but I don’t know which words to use.

Which, of course, choosing the words to best express herself doesn’t ever get any easier regardless of how fluent she is in Thai, Korean, and English.

I learned English at school in Thailand. I went to a full Thai school until sixth grade. Since middle school I went to a bilingual school – well, not bilingual; they had an English program where you learn every subject in English.

And Lisa shares that she doesn’t have a problem expressing herself on stage because that comes more naturally to her.

I’m completely confident experssing myself through my body, like, ‘Ohhh, my gawwwd, this is my stage!’ But when it comes to speaking, it’s hard for me.

She even admits that she was nervous during the Rolling Stone interview.

I’m actually sweating now. So nervous.

Still, even though Lisa claims not to be great at giving interviews, her method of answering questions for Rolling Stone proves how seriously she takes her responsibilities as an idol and how diligently she works to improve constantly.

You know, in this interview, I wanted you to feel like my answers were coming from inside me, without a filter, as honestly as possible. I don’t have the prettiest words to tell you. I only have what’s inside me.
