MADEIN’s Agency Responds To The Allegations Of Sexual Assault Against CEO
143 Entertainment, the agency of the girl group MADEIN, has addressed the accusations of sexual assault against the agency’s CEO.

Recently, former MADEIN member Gaeun directly spoke up against CEO “A” for molesting her.
Popular Girl Group Member Claims She Was Sexually Assaulted By Agency CEO
Gaeun’s legal representatives from the Hanbit Labor Rights Center released statements on April 29, KST, accusing CEO “A” of repeatedly subjecting her to unwanted physical contact. They also clarified that Gaeun initially refrained from legal action due to her wish to remain in the group. Instead, she chose to resolve the matter with a written agreement and a settlement. However, despite admitting his wrongdoing initially, “A” later changed his stance and forcibly removed her from the group.

Shortly after this statement, 143 Entertainment released its official response. The agency apologized for the controversy but claimed that “Many aspects of the member’s claims differ[ed] from the truth.”
In addition, they counter-accused Gaeun of demanding “a large sum” as settlement for “one-sided claims related to an incident that had already been reported.” The agency vowed to cooperate with the investigative authorities and “correct any distortions based on objective evidence during the process.”
Hello, this is 143 Entertainment.
We would like to share our official position regarding the press conference held today by the Hanbit Media Labor Rights Center.
First, we sincerely apologize that the CEO of our management company has become involved in such a controversy.
While many parts of the claims made by the member in question differ from the facts, as a police investigation is currently underway, we are actively cooperating with the authorities. Throughout this process, we aim to correct any distortions based on objective evidence during the process.
Additionally, we deeply regret that the member’s side demanded a large sum in settlement based on one-sided claims related to an incident that had already been reported last year. When this request was denied, they proceeded to file a criminal complaint approximately six months after the alleged incident.
We hope this situation will serve as an opportunity for the truth to be fully revealed, and we will take full responsibility in accordance with legal judgment.
Thank you.
