Actress Jo Bo Ah, often known for her soft and bubbly personality, recently shared an unexpected story of getting robbed.

In a promotional interview released by Netflix Korea on YouTube for Dear Hongrang, Jo Bo Ah appeared with her co-star Lee Jae Wook and shared fun stories from their personal and professional lives.

During the conversation, host Jonathan mentioned Jo Bo Ah’s nickname, “sympathy fairy,” bringing up the incident of her home break-in. “You were robbed, but sympathized with the robber?” he asked, bewildered.

Jo Bo Ah then shared the whole story, explaining that the incident happened when she was around 7-8 years old. “They took all my mom’s valuables,” she recalled.

However, instead of feeling scared or angry, Jo remembered feeling extreme sympathy for the robber. “They must be having a hard time if they’re robbing people’s homes.”

It’s so horrifying to think about now,” she added, “but at that time, that’s what I thought.”

The hosts then teased Jo Bo Ah, asking if she would like the robber to be better off now. She responded with a wholesome answer, saying that she hoped they had realized their mistake and mended their ways.
