4th Generation Boy Group Member Reveals How He Was Bullied

Fans are concerned.

CRAVITY recently starred on Neighborhood Star K hosted by Jonathan. During an interview segment, member Jungmo recounted that he had various nicknames growing up. He even joked that he was teased in school because of it. However, fans soon realized that the situation was deeper than he let on, and categorized it as school bullying.

Jungmo recounted that his unique name caused his nicknames to be equally as uncommon. He was called “Gu Deogi,” “Ha Soo Gu,” and “Gu Jung Mool” growing up. These words in Korean have negative meanings when applied to people.

His fellow member immediately spoke up and claimed that many members were victims of bullying.

  • Jungmo: “Because my name is Gu Jungmo, my nicknames were Gu Deo Gi, Ha Soo Gu, and Gu Jung Mool.”
  • Minhee “We have a lot of victims.”

“Gu Deo Gi” means “dregs,” or the solids in soup. On the other hand, “Ha Soo Gu” means “sewer” while “Gu Jung Mool” means “dirty water.” The boys also discussed being called into the emotional counseling room many times, often playing games by themselves during breaks.

Fans raised concerns for the boys.

Jungmo’s nickname as a student were dregs, sewer, and dirty water. He played board games alone in the emotional counseling room. These are totally not incidents to take light of.

The other members have also previously mentioned instances of being bullied.

While they have brushed it off lightly as an anecdote, it is certainly not a topic to make light of.
