Hannams On The Loose: Korean Men Get Into Embarrassing Dog Fight In Thailand
A video of a violent brawl that broke out at 3:30 AM at a Pattaya hotpot restaurant has taken both Thailand and South Korea by shock. The Pattaya News reported that, on July 11, 2025 (local time), a group of Korean male tourists started throwing punches at one another—all caught on camera and later circulated all over the internet.
The now-viral footage shows the altercation in detail, with the men grabbing and hitting one another while other diners scream in terror. Witnesses reported that the group of tourists was seated together at the same table at first, but soon began fighting and disturbing the other patrons.
The local authorities responded at the scene. According to the Pattaya City Police, four Korean men were detained and taken in for questioning. The restaurant owner, who asked to remain unidentified, also accompanied them to the station to testify.
The popular hotpot spot is said to have suffered physical damage and financial loss, eventually filing charges against the group. The estimated cost of the damages came out to a total of around 100,000 baht ($3,090 USD), which the men have agreed to pay in full.
The exact reason behind the fight remains unknown.
