Viral Girl Group Member Reveals How Her Top Idol Husband Made The “First Move”
When Crayon Pop‘s Soyul announced her wedding plans to H.O.T.‘s Moon Heejoon, the two became dubbed the first-ever “idol couple” to walk down the aisle. But how did the two stars meet and fall in love, crossing over multiple K-Pop generations?

In the latest episode of YouTube‘s “Pajama Party,” hosted by YouTuber Kim Ddolddol, Soyul opened up about her very first meeting with Moon Heejoon. She recalled the OG K-Pop legend using his programs to make moves, approaching Soyul as “business” first.

At the time, Crayon Pop had become a viral sensation with their catchy tunes like “Bar Bar Bar.”
My husband was a fan of ours, so he kept inviting me onto programs. We kept running into each other, and he even invited me separately as an individual guest. I went a few times, and then he asked for my number. Honestly, it felt kind of planned.

Soon enough, the two began dating. Soyul had told Moon Heejoon that she “wanted to date for five years before marrying,” but within a week into the relationship, she knew he was the one!

If you ask him, he’ll probably say I’m making this up, because our memories are totally different. But I can say with confidence that he was the one who approached me first. As for marriage, I was the one who said I wanted to date for five years before marrying. Still, I felt like we’d get married within just a week of meeting.

Now happily married with two children, Soyul wholeheartedly expressed her affection for her husband. While he might not have been her “ideal type,” she said he has what it takes:

He wasn’t my ‘type,’ to be honest. But the most important thing is responsibility, being family-oriented—that’s what matters most. And he’s funny. If even one of us is funny, then even after an argument we make up quickly. That’s how someone becomes your ideal type.
Even if I could go back in time, I would choose to get married all over again. Because at that time, it was the right moment in my life. Meeting him felt so right.
