Popular K-Drama Actress Finally Breaks Long Silence, Addresses Her School Bully Accusation

“For the past several months, I’ve endured and held on…”

Months ago, Tastefully Yours lead actress Go Min Si was accused of having bullied her middle school classmates. The alleged victims claimed that the actress had “repeatedly committed school violence, extortion, verbal abuse, and mocked and threatened students with disabilities since middle school, gathering local bullies and outsiders to engage in school violence, habitually stealing the belongings and money of classmates while boasting about it, indicating serious ethical flaws.”

Bullying Allegations Emerge As New K-Drama’s Popularity Rises

While Go Min Si’s management, MYSTIC STORY, quickly denied all accusations, Go Min Si herself did not respond to the growing speculations. But as of August 30, 2025 (KST), the actress has taken to her Instagram, breaking her long silence and addressing what she referred to as “fabricated words.”

In a lengthy post, the actress clarified that she had initially wanted to wait for the end of the investigation before speaking on the matter. But because she continued to feel wronged, she decided to speak up and clear her name.

“For the past several months, I’ve endured and held on, trying to calm my heart that trembled countless times a day while waiting only for the results of the investigation.

But now, I feel it would be wrong to stay silent any longer, especially for those who have been waiting, so I am speaking up.

It is true that I spent my teenage days enjoying little mischiefs without much restraint—no one knows this better than I do, and I fully acknowledge that I lived in ways I regret and that I wasn’t perfect. With that reflection, I have tried to live a better life with sincerity. I have carried on to this day with that mindset.

Of course, I have been shaken by various speculations and rumors, but the fact that my past was imperfect does not mean I should be branded with something that is not true.

I will admit to what is true, but I will not accept what is not. To be absolutely clear: I have never committed school violence.

While the truth of the school violence claims raised anonymously via online communities cannot be fully verified, I agree that it is often difficult to provide clear evidence in such cases. However, being branded as a ‘perpetrator’ and attacked when in fact I am not—this is why I have submitted all possible supporting evidence and the investigation is currently underway.

Although it is taking a long time to clarify these false allegations, I will never stop until the truth is revealed. I also firmly believe that school violence, a grave social issue, must be strictly punished.

But twisting and weaponizing such an issue with lies only undermines the seriousness of genuine school violence cases.

It is terrifying and appalling how, despite being completely untrue, fabricated words can spread unchecked online, painting someone as guilty in a world where anyone can say anything.

I hope that everyone will come to understand this truth. The truth will certainly be revealed in the end.”

Go Min Si’s update has since left Koreans divided. While some agree that it’s only right to allow time for the investigation to reveal the truth before pointing fingers…

  • “It’s true that victims remember, but it’s also true that her being a delinquent and school violence are two separate things.”
  • “Yeah, we should wait for the results, but… If you’re going to wait, then just wait. Don’t try to defend her in the meanwhile. Waiting means just waiting.”
  • “She says it’s under investigation, so I won’t add anything until the results come out. But the comments here glorifying iljins (delinquents) are insane. LOL. Get your heads straight.”
  • “Being a delinquent and school bully are different things LOL. I was bullied in school, but actually one of the delinquents was the only one who talked to me and treated me like a classmate. Yes, she should take responsibility for the bad rep that comes with ‘delinquent misbehavior,’ but if there are actual victims, that’s a whole different story.”
  • “But there were victims.”
  • “I don’t know about Go Min Si, but being a delinquent and being a school bully are really different LOL. Like, her classmates could have been uncomfortable around her because she was a delinquent but just because they felt uncomfortable or she was disruptive doesn’t make it school violence. If those were to be the same, then anyone who made anyone else uncomfortable could count as a school bully LOL. Don’t let emotions lead, use some logic.”

…others were quick to disregard Go Min Si’s statement—mainly based on her previous scandal.

  • “Some male celebrities did way worse and are still promoting fine LOL. It’s not like she committed an actual crime—why can’t we support Go Min Si? LOL. When Suga donated after his DUI scandal, everyone praised him, but they’re only strict with female celebrities. That’s ridiculous.”
  • “Even if she says she was just a ‘delinquent,’ to others she would’ve looked like an iljin. And what she thought to be ‘just joking around’ could’ve been school violence to someone else.”
  • “If you’re going to stay neutral, then just shut up. But shielding delinquents while pretending to be neutral and calling people malicious commenters—honestly, you’re just as bad as the crazy celebrity stans. Do you not realize your comments might be secondary harm to actual victims? Don’t act self-righteous, pretending you’re not haters while defending delinquents. You’re the same, just nitpicking like it makes you better.”
  • “I heard she was well-known by name in that area—that’s not a common case. Even if she says it wasn’t school violence, I don’t really want to see her as a celebrity.”
  • “I don’t know what the truth is, but separately, among all the celebrities accused of school bullying, people have really been easier on Go Min Si, which is surprising.”
  • Little mischiefs…? Lmao. That’s hilarious.”
