In 2017, Siwon and his father posted apologies regarding an incident involving Siwon’s dog, Bugsy.
It was reported that the dog bit a neighbor on September 30, 2017. The neighbor a woman in her 50s, who later suffered from septic shock caused by Bugsy’s bite and passed away in hospital on October 6.
Debates followed over where blame fell with her death, as the dog was unleashed and reportedly had a history of biting. Her family later forgave Siwon’s family, with reports stating that Bugsy had been sent away.
Siwon, who was enlisted at the time of the accident, apologized on another occasion for the death, around two years after the incident.
A recent post discussing the incident has gone viral, as some are surprised he is still promoting. Others have shared the details of the case, asking that focus be placed on Siwon’s direct actions, rather than the dog biting incident.
