Idol Reveals His Groupmates’ Reactions To His Same-Sex Kiss Scene As The Fourth Member To Star In A BL K-Drama
In his latest interview with E Daily, OMEGA X member Kevin—who is now also going by Park Jinwoo for his acting career—opened up about his first-ever “BL” role in the K-Drama, My Bias Is Showing.
OMEGA X is a group now well-known to BL genre fans, as four members (including Kevin) have starred in fan-favorite drama adaptations. In 2023, members Jaehan and Yechan led A Shoulder To Cry On, while Hangyeom appeared in 2024’s Jazz For Two. Kevin is OMEGA X’s fourth member to take on the challenge of a BL drama.
So, what did his “BL sunbae” groupmates think about Kevin’s take on the role of Na Ae Joon?
Kevin noted that there was some teasing, but he was nonetheless grateful for the interest and support.
Someone posted a photo of the kiss scene in the OMEGA X group chat. The members teased me a bit, but they were also supportive and interested, so I was really grateful.

When asked if he had received any acting advice from fellow members with experience, Kevin laughed and replied, “Brothers don’t talk about that kind of thing.”
I didn’t ask, and they didn’t give any either. We’re more like brothers, so I don’t think we talk about that kind of thing.

While Kevin’s fans were somewhat concerned that he chose a same-sex romance as his debuting work, the idol-turned-actor said there was no pressure. With his personal experience as a K-Pop star helping him better understand the character, it was “the right opportunity at the right time.”
I didn’t feel stressed at all because of the genre. I thought it was a fresh and fun story. Since the plot revolves around a fan and an idol, that dynamic actually helped me a lot with the acting. I’d always wanted to try acting, and this opportunity came at the right time. When I first saw the character Ae Joon, I thought he was quite similar to me, so I felt especially attached to him.
