Fan Backlash Leads To Indefinite Postponement Of “Idol Dating Reality Show”
Singer Bae Jinyoung and i-dle’s (formerly known as (G)I-DLE) Miyeon were supposed to star in a travel reality show that the press dubbed as the spin-off to We Got Married. The teaser and concept faced backlash from fans, prompting a response from the production team.
On October 16, 2025, YouTube channel KODE stated that the show would be postponed.
“After thorough discussions, we have decided to temporarily postpone the release of Trip KODE, which was originally scheduled for today. We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been waiting.”
Trip KODE is a new series by KODE, featuring two guests who travel together while completing missions that raise each other’s heart rate — with the person who increases it the most declared the winner. With the backlash faced, the teaser was made private just a day later.

Both artists also addressed the issue personally. Bae Jinyoung explained during an interview for his new album that it was not what the media thought it was.
“I was really surprised when articles described it like We Got Married. It’s actually just a fun game to raise heart rates — not that kind of show at all.”
Meanwhile, Miyeon reassured fans on her communication platform with an apology
“There’s nothing to worry about. I came here quickly because everyone seemed startled. Sorry for making you worry.”
