Fans assumed that this was linked to Siwon’s recent scandals due to his political views and beliefs. Leeteuk had also turned off the comments to the post, leading many to believe that he had intentions of purposely shading or ousting Siwon.
Later on, during a live stream, Leeteuk shut down the accusations and rumors of discord. He claimed that he had come across the photo online and posted it. He claimed to have been unaware that Siwon was not in the photo.
Leeteuk talked about the IG post he deleted.
🐣: “Ah, for those on IG. I just thought it was a group photo. I just took a screenshot and uploaded it. I really didn’t know that Siwon was missing from it. I uploaded it without giving it much thought. Since (cont.)#이특 #leeteuk pic.twitter.com/kwiF9hTw6x

Ah, for those on IG. I just thought it was a group photo. I just took a screenshot and uploaded it. I really didn’t know that Siwon was missing from it. I uploaded it without giving it much thought. Since there was a picture of Heechul and me, I thought, “Oh, then I should also post a group photo.” But I think I just only looked at how I appeared in the photo and uploaded it. So, I deleted it. There wasn’t any particular meaning behind it or anything like that, so I hope you don’t misunderstand.
Leeteuk has since deleted the picture from his Instagram. You can read more about the original incident below.
