Girls’ Generation Members Appear During Ex-Member Jessica Jung’s Solo Concert, Sparking Heated Criticism
Recently, Jessica Jung kicked off her solo concert tour, Reflections, with a concert in Malaysia.

She entertained fans with a three act setlist, which included a look back at her past.
The idol sparked hot reactions by performing several Girls’ Generation songs for the first time since her departure from the group over a decade ago.

While many were excited to see the idol performing the songs, another part of the show stood out to many.
A VCR showing Jessica’s journey as an idol was played, and featured clips from her time in Girls’ Generation. Clips of the entire group were also included without any blurring or censoring of the other idols.

tried to erase her from group history was shaded and cropped out by those who were her group members and the company and she still chose kindness https://t.co/By4WRpQy78 pic.twitter.com/w7xSsbWvrn

and can i say? this whole thing of companies trying to erase a member from a group is pure evil, reduce someone’s hard work into ashes and force the group to distance themselves from former members just sound like abuse idc https://t.co/iBGZC4dSKD

Many also chose to focus on the positive, grateful that whatever blocks between Jessica and the group seem to be lessening as time goes on. Several pointed out that using the clips likely meant that she got permission from SM Entertainment.

You surely imagine that the real cataclysm in K-pop history would be for Girls' Generation to be together again to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Jessica might be sending a message in her own way 💜✨ https://t.co/wiFOXhodhH
