Park Na Rae’s Former Manager Refutes The “Tearful Recording” Claims

Park Na Rae’s former manager has denied the recent allegations of “false claims” raised by a recently released phone recording.

Leaked Audio of Emotional Call Between Park Na Rae And Ex-Manager Adds Unexpected Twist To Ongoing Dispute

On the 12th, former manager A spoke to the media regarding the recording. A claimed that after resigning in November last year, while discussing unpaid wages and severance issues with a labor attorney, Park Na Rae’s side continuously requested meetings. He said he received messages warning him to “be especially careful as there could be legal issues,” and felt intense pressure from remarks urging “cooperation to resolve the dispute promptly without additional legal action,” leading him to initiate formal legal proceedings.

Regarding the phone calls released recently on YouTube, A stated, “Both calls, which occurred during the early hours crossing December 7 to 8, 2025, were all initiated by Park Na Rae.” He added, “At the time, I was drinking with prior appointments, and after the gathering ended, I was informed via a third party that Park Na Rae wanted to meet me, sought a settlement, described me as a lover, expressed love, and brought up Bodori,” referring to Park Na Rae’s pet dog. He claimed that he was primarily responsible for taking care of Bodori and that Park Na Rae’s side led the conversation toward the dog.

After being informed by Park Na Rae that everything had been settled, A headed to Park Na Rae’s home with a designer. He stated, “During the meeting which lasted about three hours in the early morning, no discussions related to legal agreements took place. There was never any talk about settlement terms, amounts, accusations, lawsuits, withdrawals, or provisional seizures.” He also denied the claim recently made by Park Na Rae’s side in the media alleging that “I proposed a settlement amount of ₩500 million KRW (about $343,000 USD) that early morning,” saying, “The only mention about money was Park Na Rae’s dissatisfaction with her lawyer.

Additionally, A asserted that Park Na Rae repeatedly made emotional remarks such as “Those were good times,” “I want to go back to that time,” and “I want to work together again” while showing past photos. He said she kept urging him to drink and go to a karaoke, blocking him from leaving. Although Park Na Rae posted a message on the 8th saying she had “cleared up misunderstandings with former managers,” A denied this, revealing that after consulting his lawyer that afternoon, he sent a formal settlement letter to Park Na Rae’s lawyer. He explained, “The letter didn’t include any amount of money but demanded an apology and acknowledgment of false reports made by Park Na Rae about us. Still, Park Na Rae sent me a message asking, ‘What do you want besides money?’” He concluded that negotiations collapsed and Park Na Rae’s side also expressed intentions to proceed with a lawsuit.

Regarding the four major social insurances, A said, “Since 2015, I have continuously been a representative of an entertainment corporation, and even at my previous agency JDB, I was properly enrolled in these insurances. While working with Park Na Rae, both the head manager and I consistently requested insurance enrollment. Any matters related to payment or major decisions, including insurance, required Park Na Rae’s consent and confirmation. The reports suggesting I opposed insurance enrollment are completely false.” He also stated that he did not personally agree to his salary.

Addressing controversy over his career, A stated,

The media currently describes me as an inexperienced rookie manager, which isn’t true. As of 2026, I have been running a corporation for over 10 years, with experience discovering trainees, debuting acts, broadcasting, world tours, and album production. I also gained celebrity management experience at other companies. When I joined JDB, I had only handled singers and actors before—no experience with variety entertainers. Due to this lack, I joined JDB as a novice at a starting salary, motivated to learn. During the three-month probation, my salary was about ₩1.70 million KRW (about $1,170 USD), and afterwards more than ₩2.00 million KRW (about $1,370 USD). However, my career didn’t disappear; Park Na Rae’s side distorts this, judging me only by age and portraying me solely as a rookie.

He expressed regret and anger over the situation, stating, “I want to clarify these false reports and distorted claims through legal action.” He emphasized, “To sum up, after resigning, Park Na Rae and her mother repeatedly sought settlement with us, and even as late as last week, her mother contacted me and the head manager. Neither during nor after the early morning meeting on December 8 was there any legal agreement.

Regarding accusations of abuse toward former managers, A also criticized the owner of a hair salon who testified that, although present, “there was no coercion at all.” He remarked, “I understand the position of someone who must keep working with celebrities, but that doesn’t justify lying.
