KATSEYE’s Daniela Addresses Multiple Controversies In Personal Statement
KATSEYE‘s Daniela recently released a statement addressing multiple issues that have sparked controversy.

In a message to fans, she shared that she does not support Playboi Carti’s alleged actions (including a misdemeanor assault charge). She also explained her heritage on both her father and mother’s side, clearing up any misinformation and dismissing disrespectful commentary about her background.
Hi loves I want to clarify a few things. Just want to call out that I do not support or condone the actions of this artist, and I was not aware of their actions prior. Supporting an artist’s music does not mean endorsing their personal behavior, and that distinction is important.
I also want to address the commentary surrounding my background. I am mixed. On my father’s side, my family has roots across Europe including Germany, Italy, and Spain, with my grandmother being from Spain, my grandfather being German and my father born in Venezuela. On my mother’s side, my family is 100% Cuban, which is where the majority of my Latin culture comes from. This is my real family history, and it’s disappointing to see it questioned or turned into something negative. This isn’t something for people to debate, mock or ridicule. It’s my heritage and I would like it to be respected!! Thank you :)

Many also criticized the haters for weaponizing morality, pointing out the hypocrisy of claiming you can’t separate art from the artist while still supporting other artists with questionable pasts.
