Meanwhile, Kim Garam made a dazzling debut with LE SSERAFIM in 2022, but shortly after her debut, she faced intense criticism due to allegations of school violence during her middle school years. At that time, her agency, Source Music, initially denied the allegations and moved forward with her debut.

However, the controversy escalated when it was revealed that Kim Garam had received a “Level 5” disciplinary action from the school violence committee. Eventually, Kim Garam halted activities just 19 days after her debut and withdrew from the team in July of the same year upon contract termination. After leaving the group, Kim Garam clarified through acquaintances’ social media that she had never hit or bullied anyone and had never consumed alcohol or smoked, presenting herself as an ordinary student.
