Korean Cafe Goes Viral For Turning Down G-Dragon
A café in Korea is going viral online for its unusually strict attitude toward customers, after a story surfaced claiming that even G-Dragon was once turned away.
According to an online post that has been rapidly spreading across communities, the café is known for being extremely selective about who it allows to stay, especially when it comes to people using the space to “study.” Reviews about the place on Naver are extremely negative, with many calling out the owner for being unfriendly.

Despite this, it has been there for 30 to 40 years, with its traditional appearance making it a favorite amongst foreigners and the older crowd. The poster recalled an incident from last summer involving a man dressed in distinctive clothing, with his face partially covered, visible tattoos, and a book in hand. This man turned out to be G-Dragon. Apparently unimpressed by his appearance, the café owner allegedly told him to leave.
That’s when things took an unexpected turn. According to the post, several large, intimidating men suddenly entered the café and greeted the man very respectfully. Realizing who he might actually be dealing with, the owner reportedly froze, stumbled over his words, and quickly left the scene.

“LOL this place is hilarious. Even G-Dragon went there and got turned away. They really said it exactly like that.
He had his face covered, lots of tattoos, dressed kind of uniquely, and was reading a book—but I guess they didn’t like the look of him. They told him, ‘This isn’t a place for young people to come study. Go to Starbucks.’
G-Dragon got super shy and said, ‘I’m actually older than I look…’ LOL. Things got awkward, and he started saying stuff like he’s a professor, mentioning politicians and all that, G-Dragon was like ‘I’m a professor too,’ and the owner was like, ‘A professor…? You’re a professor?’
Then these huge, dark-looking guys who looked like bodyguards walked in and greeted him very respectfully. The owner completely froze, stuttered, and basically ran off. This happened last summer and it was a male owner.
I don’t know what the place is like now. Anyway, he smelled really nice. Even though he was kind of publicly embarrassed, he was extremely polite and greeted everyone properly before leaving. Honestly, he seemed to find the whole thing kind of funny himself.I looked it up later and apparently he’s a special invited professor at KAIST.
The story has since gone viral. As of now, it’s unclear whether the café still operates the same way, but one thing is certain: turning away G-Dragon is not something people will forget anytime soon.
