Seungri Reportedly Aims To Create A Second Burning Sun

Former BIGBANG member Seungri is reportedly preparing a second Burning Sun.

Recently, a video titled “Hwang Hana, Seungri, Park Yoochun — Special Exclusive Report by Reporter Oh Hyuk Jin” was uploaded on the YouTube.

In the video, reporter Oh Hyuk Jin shared updates on Seungri’s whereabouts. Oh said, “(Seungri) is associating with money launderers, voice phishing operators, and figures connected to casinos. There are reports that he is partying with executives from criminal gangs in Cambodia.

Oh also explained, “He tried to create something like a second Burning Sun in Cambodia,” adding, “He was planning to push his business in that direction.”

Furthermore, Oh remarked, “While Seungri still has a solid fan base in Japan, he has completely fallen from grace in our country,” and added, “He seems to have aimed to start illegal businesses in Southeast Asia, where he still carries the image of being from BIGBANG.”

Reporter Oh also disclosed, “As far as I know, he frequently travels between Cambodia and Thailand. I am not sure how often he comes to our country, but it’s not that he doesn’t come in at all.

Seungri was identified as a key figure in the so-called “Burning Sun Gate,” leading to his retirement from the group in 2019 and expulsion from the entertainment industry.

In 2022, Seungri was found guilty by the Supreme Court on nine charges, including habitual gambling, prostitution, mediation of prostitution, violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, foreign exchange transaction law violations, food sanitation law violations, embezzlement, violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and incitement of special assault. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison and was released from Gyeonggi Yeoju Prison on February 8, 2023.
