IVE’s Wonyoung Gets “Scolded” By Reporter At Brand Event

IVE member Wonyoung has gotten embroiled in a controversy over alleged tardiness.

On January 29, KST, Wonyoung appeared at a pop-up store event for Barrie at Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The idol stunned in a yellow ensemble.

However, it’s not her graceful appearance that has drawn the most attention. A video from the event has gone viral, showing a reporter “scolding” the idol for supposedly arriving late.

While Wonyoung was posing for the press in front of the photo wall, a reporter could be heard shouting, “Wonyoung, let’s try to be on time!”

The idol turned back with a flustered expression and then left quickly. Some other reporters could be heard laughing and making comments such as “That was refreshing.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Wonyoung has been criticized for tardiness. Previously, she arrived late at a fashion brand’s pop-up event and a beauty device photo wall event, where her delayed arrival also reportedly disrupted on-site operations.

Wonyoung is arguably one of the busiest K-Pop idols, known for having grueling schedules. Given that she is usually praised for her strict professionalism, netizens were left wondering if the reporter’s callout was really necessary.
