T.O.P’s “Harsh” Recent Activities Show His Thoughts On BIGBANG Reunion
Since his return to the spotlight, many have questioned the status of T.O.P with the other members of BIGBANG.
In 2017, the rapper-actor was embroiled in a scandal for illegal marijuana use that led to a 10-month suspended prison sentence. It took a significant toll on his career and public reputation; however, he remained a member of the group until he announced his departure in May 2023.
He returned as an actor in 2024 in Squid Game season 2, and currently seems to be preparing for a solo return to music. During interviews for Squid Game, T.O.P openly discussed his past with BIGBANG, revealing he had not contacted the other members.
T.O.P Addresses His Current Relationship With BIGBANG Members
BIGBANG also have been preparing for a comeback sometime this year, which has re-sparked questions of T.O.P’s possible return. However, the idol seems to have decisively responded to those questions in his own way.
T.O.P is active on his Instagram account, and has responded to fans on more than one occasion, including to announce his departure from BIGBANG.
A fan recently shared that T.O.P had blocked her on her account, despite being a BIGBANG fan page.

While this would be a surprise for any other idol, this is not the first time T.O.P has blocked individual accounts. In the past, accounts that posted and tagged him in content from his time and BIGBANG also were met with the same response, which this account appears to have done.
He discussed this in an interview as well, stating that seeing the images caused him pain.
There are many photos where I and the members are tagged together, so I feel guilty toward the members and have to live with that feeling for the rest of my life, but I don’t think anyone can fully feel the pain of looking at a photo of a separated family unless they are the ones involved. So I think I spoke in the wrong way, and I want to bow my head once again and apologize from the bottom of my heart.

This recent blocking seems to confirm that T.O.P’s feelings have remained the same and is not participating in any upcoming BIGBANG activities for the foreseeable future.
