In the video, Koo Hye Sun shared for the first time, “There was a time when I was going through something extremely difficult. I had moments where I thought, ‘I really want to die.'”

The actress then revealed that it led to an impulsive decision to jump out of a plane.

I was driving one day and saw a parachute descending in the distance. Someone was skydiving. On impulse, I decided to go try skydiving myself…

There were seven of us who got on the helicopter, and all seven of us were at the darkest points in our lives. We all wanted to die.

The jump, unexpectedly, became a wake-up call for Koo Hye Sun. Her mindset completely changed after experiencing the drop.

When they told me to jump, the many versions of myself were all saying they wanted to live. The moment I jumped, I was saying, ‘I want to live so badly.’ During those few seconds, until my feet touched the ground, I realized I wasn’t someone who wanted to die. All seven of us said, ‘We’re so glad we’re alive.’

Now, the actress thinks that “Things turn out the way you believe they will. You have to believe in yourself, not others, and become your own best friend. In an unpredictable future, I think I could break again. Even if you’re doing well, you can fall, stumble, and shatter. But I think about how new and beautiful that could be.”
