In the latest episode of Jun Hyun Moo‘s Moo No Plan Season 3, Taxi Driver actress Pyo Ye Jin opened up about why she left her job as a flight attendant to pursue acting.
Actress Pyo Ye Jin Confirmed To Replace APRIL’s Naeun In Upcoming SBS K-Drama “Taxi Driver”
During the episode, Pyo Ye Jin mentioned her past working as a Korean Air flight attendant. She revealed that she became a flight attendant at age 19, before she was even considered a full adult under Korean age standards.

When Jeon Hyun Moo asked how long she had worked there, she replied, “About a year and a half.” Although she had passed a competitive hiring process to land the job, she realized she could not stay long-term.

I loved going to new countries and meeting different people. But when I thought about making it my lifelong career and imagined myself 10 years down the line, it felt suffocating.

She continued, “So I thought I should try something else that would be fun. I had always loved TV shows and movies, so I quit my flight attendant job and decided to give acting about 10 years to try it out.”

At first, as an aspiring actress, things were not easy for the young Pyo Ye Jin. “I used to hand out my profile to about 10 places a day,” she said. Still, it was better than being stuck with a job she didn’t have the passion for.
That process was actually really fun. I loved the feeling of doing something I truly wanted to do.

While Pyo Ye Jin’s family did not support the decision at first, the actress playfully added that things are completely different now—especially since she has become an award-winning, irreplaceable name in the industry!

My father didn’t speak to me for a while. He basically cut off communication. I also remember crying with my mom because we were so upset. But now? They love it.
