Jeon Somi Lets Out Hilarious Details About JYP Entertainment’s Sex Education
Singer Jeon Somi, who was previously a trainee at JYP Entertainment (JYP hereon), has “exposed” the company for its lacking sex education program.

On March 30, KST, Somi appeared as a guest on SBS’s variety show, No But Seriously!, where she opened up about the trainee system at JYP.

Lee Soo Ji mentioned that JYP is rumored to have 67 educational programs that trainees are supposed to take, including character education and meal manners. When Lee Sang Min expressed surprise at this news, Somi confirmed that, as a trainee, she had even had to complete sex education and hacking prevention training.

Lee Sang Min asked whether it ever felt excessive, as a trainee, to undergo these programs, and Somi responded, asserting that it did. She specified that for her, sex education felt redundant because she already received it properly at home. The singer then added with a laugh, “From my perspective, when I took the classes at JYP, it felt like they left out all the important parts.” The remark made the room break into laughter. She added, “They spoke in euphemisms, much like how the subject is taught in a middle school ethics class. It wasn’t very satisfying.”

Somi, however, isn’t the first idol to talk about the sex education classes at JYP. A few years ago, TWICE members also discussed it during a variety show appearance, revealing some interesting details.
