BTS RM’s Past Remarks On Using English Lyrics Resurfaces Amid Album Release

Recently, Rolling Stones have been releasing snippets of the upcoming interviews and editions for each BTS member, with quotes teasing the interviews.

For Jungkook, one of the quotes was about the idol’s desire to improve his English skills to help his feel like a solo pop star, adding, “I need to get better at English, at least to the point where I can make small talk or chat casually. That would be a breakthrough. But English is so hard!”

Yet, while some fans praised Jungkook’s statement, saying how hard English is and that it showed how humble he is, it also drew backlash, with tweets garnering a lot of attention.

In the tweets, netizens hit back at the statement, with some saying Jungkook has been saying the same thing for a long time, and others saying it seems crazy to say so, given how much of BTS’s album was in English. One OP even used KATSEYE’s Yoonchae as an example of learning English quickly and fluently.

While many of the comments on the tweet were positive, the negative responses garnered more attention.
