Popular Female Idol’s Frequent Use Of ChatGPT Triggers Massive Backlash
The use of AI and ChatGPT has become a huge issue among K-Pop idols and the industry.
Recently, Korea’s biggest broadcasters have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, claiming that ChatGPT used their news content to train its AI system.
Given the controversy around AI, many agencies have criticized fans for using AI-generated media released by popular groups.
Most recently, ITZY’s Lia garnered criticism for her statement regarding the use of ChatGPT.

(Because I don’t know it in depth) I only have superficial knowledge about it. So I can’t talk about it comfortably. When I talk to you guys, I still need to give you the right info. So honestly, even when I post on Instagram or when I interact with you in person, I always run it by ChatGPT.

However, fans were disappointed that the members continued to use ChatGPT, despite asking them to stop.
unfortunately other members have mentioned using gpt too… we as fans can’t do more than call them out and just hope they educate themselves on why it is harmful. that doesn’t make you a fake fan or an anti!! https://t.co/UDkvEeqSj6
