At the end of the May 12, 2026 (KST) broadcast of SBS’s Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2, the show previewed Song Jieun and Park We’s upcoming appearance.

The couple, who have now been married for 18 months, were shown enjoying their newlywed life. From lying together in bed to sitting side by side on the sofa, the two stayed close and affectionate throughout the morning. Park We also expressed his love for Song Jieun, saying, “Viewers might get goosebumps from how cheesy this is, but she feels like an angel who looks like spring sunshine.”

However, the preview also touched on a more serious subject. During the episode preview, Park We was shown trying to help with household chores. When the couple bickered over who would take out the recycling, Park We said, “That’s something that brings me joy.”

He was then shown separating and throwing out the recycling on his own, using familiar movements as he carried out the task without Song Jieun’s help. Park We also made a personal clarification.

I’m revealing this for the first time. But I don’t receive any help with going to the bathroom.

Song Jieun then became tearful as she recalled one particularly hateful comment that had been left on their wedding video.

I saw a comment on our wedding video that read, he married me as ‘a free caregiver.’ They were referring to me that way…

The comment appeared to reduce Song Jieun’s marriage to Park We to caregiving, rather than acknowledging their relationship as a loving partnership. The couple explained that they felt it was time to address the subject directly. “We thought we needed to talk about this at least once,” they shared.

To that, viewers noted that it was Park We’s younger brother—whose speech at their wedding was deemed controversial and inappropriate—that should be apologizing.
