…including his quest for a baptismal name (that might have involved bribing his friends), and his first time doing night guard duty.
BTS’s V Attended Catholic Church In The Military To Get A Baptismal Name
As the soldier assigned to the second shift of the overnight duty, V said he waited for the first-shift soldier to hand over the security passcode. Instead, the previous guard went straight to sleep without saying a word. Thinking there was no passcode, V stood watch until an officer approached to test him.
The officer gave the passcode as “Chris.” V replied with, “Mas!,” completely confusing the man, who asked him what on earth he was talking about. The officer repeated “Chris,” and V asked him if it was the Christmas season, given the timing. V acted out the officer’s reaction to this; he heaved an exasperated sigh and asked V if the previous soldier had briefed him about the passcode. The officer eventually told V what the passcode was and took off — end of skit!
